PROTECT NORTH & SOUTH - FINAL EVALUATION
This innovative project was a partnership between the Probation Service and the Probation Board for Northern Ireland.The two services received funding from the Special European Union Programmes Body under Peace II, Measure 5.2.
PROTECT N&S (Probation Reducing Offending Through Enhanced Co-operation and Training, North and South) was developed in the spirit of the Belfast Agreement and the Review of the Criminal Justice System in Northern Ireland that highlighted the need for the development of structured co-operation between public bodies, North and South. This 30 month project was launched in September 2004.
