In Service Training
There is a dedicated staff training and development section within the Probation Service. Training is designed to support the Service in the delivery of a quality service in every area of work.
Areas covered in in-service training include:
- Specialised induction training;
- Knowledge of the justice system and the Probation Service role in it;
- Evidence based effective practice with offenders;
- First aid and Health & Safety;
- Performance Management;
- IT training.
