The further development of Restorative Justice practice in the Probation Service is a central theme for a range of reflective and celebratory events in teams and regions across the country during Restorative Justice Week. The Week coincides with the end of the first year of operations for the dedicated Restorative Justice and Victim Services Unit. Staff of the Unit are supporting colleagues in convening coffee fuelled conversations and meetings that explore recent developments in practice, engage with case studies and review the skills and values that underpin effective practice. We are pleased to progress this Service wide, collective approach as we also reach the close of our first year of leadership and participation in the cross European Restorative Justice: Strategies for Change project.
