The Probation Service is committed to safeguarding children from harm, in accordance with the Children First Act, 2015 and best practice as set out in Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (Department of Children and Youth Affairs, 2017). In accordance with section 11 of the Act the Service has prepared a Child Safeguarding Statement.
